Susan Gorst - Director
Susan has been involved with Gorst Rural since its early days, operating out of a simple tin shed in Lake Bolac. She has seen the business flourish & grow, and provides valuable experience as well as ensuring Peter’s legacy lives on.
Cam Conboy - Director/General Manager
Cam is a broadacre and pasture agronomist with over 20 years field experience, and oversees the highly capable Gorst Team . After graduating with a BaAppSci (Ag) from University of Melbourne (Dookie & Longerenong), Cam spent time at the University of Minnesota, working overseas and on family farms. His experiences include advising clients with dryland/irrigation, broadacre/pasture/small seeds production in SE SA with IAMA and Landmark and also Western Victoria with Landmark. Prior to joining Gorst Rural in 2011 he was the Technical Development manager for southern Australia with Seedmark.
Kelly Johnson - Agronomist
Kelly is a broadacre and pasture agronomist with over 8 years experience. After studying Agricultural Science at La Trobe University and graduating with honours, she started with Landmark as a Graduate Agronomist. This involved time at Hamilton, Warrnambool, Echuca and Bendigo as part of the graduate program. She then continued on with Landmark working out of Echuca initially, before being transferred to Ararat. She joined the Gorst Rural team in January 2013. Her experiences involve advising farmers on both dryland and irrigated broadacre cropping as well as dryland and irrigated pasture and forage systems.
Brad (Chops) McLean - Agronomist
Brad is an agronomist and has over 10 years experience in broadacre crops and pastures in the Western Districts of Victoria. Brad grew up on the family farm in Narrandera, NSW. He attended boarding school at Assumption College Kilmore and Studied his Degree in Agriculture at Dookie College with the University of Melbourne. After college Brad went to the USA and worked on a Combine Harvesting Crew that went for 6 months and harvested crops from Texas right up to the Canadian border. Brad has been an Agronomist in Western Victoria since returning from the States, and has recently purchased a farm with his wife at Wickliffe. Brad also heads up our Turf Services Team.
Ash Maconachie - Agronomist
Ash grew up at Ballyrogan, with his parents, Ian & Sue- and has been heavily involved with the Tatyoon football and cricket clubs. Ash studied Ag Science at Latrobe, after a stint of Forensic Science at Deakin. He spent time working in the field as well as merchandise experience with Landmark. He has broad experience in animal health and is intensively involved in our ‘in field ‘ agronomy, as well as running our trial program.
Sam McDonald - Operations Manager
Sam is responsible for the day to day running of Gorst Rural.
Sam started with Gorst Rural in 2001, and is integral to the smooth running of our business. He has the practical knowledge to deliver customer needs - no job is too big or small- for Sam to lift, shift and make happen.

Mick Murray- Willaura Store Manager
Mick grew up in Willaura and has seen many changes in the local landscape and farming techniques. Mick served his apprenticeship with Tansey & White, then Willaura Farm Supplies and now Gorst Rural. He is a proud member of the community, an ardent North Melbourne Supporter and has vast experience in Animal Health and General Merchandise.

Brendan Plunkett- Tatyoon Store Manager
Brendan grew up on a local farm at Mininera, and has practical experience in farming and also spent time working at Lakaput Bulk Grain storage. He has a great understanding of how things work and can assist you with all your questions.

Jan Peacock- Administration Manager
Jan farms with her husband Ian and family at Willaura. She started with Gorst Rural in 2006 after a career with the National Bank. Jan oversees all the admin functions of the business, ensuring attention to detail and all transactions are conducted in an efficient manner.
Davina Stacy - Commercial Manager
Davina, farms with her husband Brian, between Lake Bolac & Wickliffe. Brian & Davina, and their children, Ben & Harriet have come over from near Moora in Western Australia and enjoying the challenges of cropping in the Western District! Davina comes to us from Cogger Gurry in Hamilton, and has spent time with RSM Bird Cameron in WA, after studying as an accountant at Curtin University, and studying Horse Business Management at Marcus Oldham and a Bachelor of Science at Melbourne University.
Sarah Stewart- Admin & Retail Assistant
Sarah grew up on her family farm at Mininera and has wool classed extensively throughout the district. Her practical approach, positive attitude and understanding of what farmers need, make her invaluable in providing the best in customer service.
